Kitchen Exhaust System.

Airverclean provides engineered solutions to hotels, restaurants, clubs, hospitals, food courts , snack bars etc for their cooking exhaust problems. Typically, the law does not allow untreated cooking fumes to be discharged into the atmosphere. We provide solutions to this problems through the applications of Industrial Grade Electronic Air Cleaners ( Electrostatic Precipitators ) and carbon filters.

The biggest challenge for the kitchen exhaust system is in ensuring that it meets our NEA (our local National Environmental Authority) standards. Typical grease filters in the cooker hood itself is only effective in controlling the large grease particulates generated during the cooking process but are ineffective in removing the finer grease particulates, oil mists, cooking fumes, smokes and odor. These pollutants are generally below in micron in size (1 micron=1/1,000 mm) to a maximum of 5 microns.

Our Kitchen Exhaust System incorporating the Trion Industrial Electronic Air Cleaners ensure that the treated air is up to 95% efficient (on single pass) and up to 99% efficient (on double pass) based on the ASHARE STD 52.1, dust spot method. Several local tests have also been conducted by independent air monitoring agencies and have surpassed the 95% mark.

For larger kitchen exhaust applications where multiple cooker hoods are used, the modular Trion unit, T2002 is selected. With an air handling capacity of up to 5000cmh each, multiple units are used to cater to higher air volume.

Odor can be controlled by the Activated Carbon Filter and for more extreme cases, Activated Carbon Banks are used.

In some cases and for smaller application, the dirty air treated by our T13 unit can be recirculated.

The T Series has the ability to clean contaminated indoor air and re circulate it back to the work area, reducing energy costs by not having to exhaust conditioned air to the outside. Any of the T Series can be installed free hanging or ducted for source capture.

How It Works

Trion's T Series utilizes the principle of Electrostatic Precipitation. Air is drawn by the motor/blower through a washable metal mesh pre-filter which traps large dust particles. The remaining particles, some as small as 0.01 microns, pass into a strong electrical field (ionizing section) where the particulate receives an electrical charge. The charged particles then pass into a collector plate section made up of a series of equally spaced parallel plates. Each alternate plate is charged with the same polarity as the particles, which repel, while the interleaving plates are grounded, which attract and collect.
